Let the Games Begin! Intercamp Games and Tournaments

“We are all here for the same reason, to have fun and enjoy friendly competition," said girls from Camp Merriwood before their basketball game in the sports Pavilion. The girls were taking time to cool down in the shade, laugh, dance to music, and socialize with our campers as well as our visitors from Camp Evergreen, Robindel, and Wico.

Whilst our daily sports program offers low-key competition, our intercamp program offers a number of activities for campers who thrive on spirited competition. At Camp Walt Whitman we enjoy a full range of summer-long intercamp games and tournaments scheduled with over twenty other camps located in the Upper Valley and Northern New Hampshire.  Last summer we competed in over 120 Intercamp games!

With Intercamp Games and Tournaments now in full swing a group of lacrosse players are heading to Camp Pemi, whilst our girls basketball team are trying to stay cool as they compete with teams from Evergreen, Robindel, and Wico.

Through our diverse and popular sports program campers are able to thrive in a nurturing environment. Exciting drills, exercises, and fun activities organized by our talented staff allow campers to build confidence and develop skills regardless of age or ability.

"I enjoy Intercamp games because it gives me the opportunity to compete in different sports such as soccer, baseball, and lacrosse," said Max

Girls from Camp Merriwood, enjoy Intercamp games because it gives them the opportunity to socialize and make new friends.

"I love getting out of camp for a day and competing with new players," said Remi and Amelia, from Camp Robindel.
